Audio Validation Engineer

Job Summary

We are looking for an Audio Validation Engineerto join our Automotive Audio Validation team. The engineer will validate audio systems, develop test automation solutions, analyze measurement results, and help ensure product quality across embedded and automotive audio platforms. The role combines audio engineering fundamentals, validation expertise, automation capability, and systematic debugging skill

Key Responsibilities

Audio Validation and Verification

·       Execute audio validation activities for embedded and automotive audio systems.

·       Perform functional, performance, and quality testing of audio components and subsystems.

·       Conduct audio measurements including frequency response, THD+N, SNR, noise spectrum, latency, channel matching, and basic jitter analysis.

·       Analyze test results and prepare clear validation reports.

Test Automation Development

·       Develop and maintain automated test frameworks and test scripts.

·       Automate audio measurements using Audio Precision APx platforms and supported APIs.

·       Implement pass/fail criteria, automated result evaluation, and test-condition loops for sample rate, bit depth, and channel configurations.

·       Generate test outputs and reports in formats such as CSV, JSON, XML, HTML, and PDF.

·       Support continuous integration and automated validation execution, including Jenkins-based workflows.

Debugging and Root Cause Analysis

·       Investigate validation failures and distinguish software, hardware, DUT-configuration, and test-environment issues.

·       Correlate audio measurement data with firmware and system logs.

·       Reproduce issues across software builds or hardware platforms and support technical issue triage with development teams.

Hardware and Lab Activities

·       Configure and maintain audio test setups, analyzers, signal generators, cabling, loads, attenuators, and probes.

·       Apply proper grounding and balanced/unbalanced connection practices, and troubleshoot setup-related measurement errors.

Continuous Improvement and Team Contribution

·       Improve test coverage, automation efficiency, validation methods, and framework capabilities.

·       Contribute to knowledge transfer, technical documentation, and onboarding activities within the team.

Job Qualifications (Must Have Skills)

• At least 3 years relevant experience in using Audio basics, Audio Precision (APx), Test Automation & Scripting (Python/ CSV, JSON, or XML.), Digital Audio Interface Knowledge (I²S master)

• With Hardware, Lab & System-Level Debugging & Validation experience

Work Arrangement:

Work set-up: Remote
Work schedule: Dayshift/Midshift (10am-7pm / 12nn-9pm)
Work location: Filpino Candidates (Open to Manila and Cebu based candidates)
