Audio Video Security Systems Technician

We are seeking an Audio Video Security Systems Technician (AVSST) to install, configure, test, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair audio, video, and security systems in commercial, industrial, or institutional environments. The technician will support meetings, press conferences, special events, and day-to-day security and communication system operations.

Required Qualifications

• 3+ years of experience installing, configuring, testing, maintaining, and repairing audio, intercom, CCTV, and security systems.
• At least 1 year of journey-level experience.
• High School Diploma or GED.
• Valid Class C Driver’s License with no restrictions.
• Hands-on knowledge of AV, CCTV, access control, intrusion detection, public address, intercom, and teleconferencing systems.
• Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, communication, organization, and customer-service skills.

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift 10–25 lbs. and occasionally more than 25 lbs.
• Ability to regularly work from 6-foot and taller ladders.
• Ability to perform tasks involving bending, stooping, squatting, twisting, reaching, and other physical activities.
• Good physical dexterity, color perception, and visual acuity required for safe and effective performance.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, test, maintain, and repair audio, video, and security systems.
• Support public address, intercom, panic alarm, access control, intrusion detection, and life-safety monitoring systems.
• Install and maintain CCTV systems, including cameras, monitors, matrix switchers, DVRs, and related software.
• Support audio/video conferencing systems, codecs, automated cameras, displays, audio mixers/processors, video servers, and interface controllers.
• Troubleshoot and maintain IP-based and integrated AV/security systems.
• Install, remove, and maintain cabling infrastructure, including wire management systems, patch panels, jacks, and related cabling according to industry standards.
• Provide technical support when equipment is relocated, upgraded, expanded, or modified.
• Coordinate with other technical trades and personnel as required.
• Assist with audio/video setups for meetings, press conferences, and special events.
• Diagnose system issues and perform corrective maintenance while maintaining strong customer service.

Pay: $40.00 - $50.00 per hour
