Audio Visual & Low Voltage Technician

Job Summary

We are seeking a dynamic and skilled Audio Visual & Low Voltage Technician to join our innovative team. In this role, you will be responsible for installing, maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a wide range of audiovisual (AV) and low voltage systems across various client sites. Your expertise will ensure seamless operation of AV equipment, control systems, and telecommunications infrastructure, delivering exceptional service for live events, corporate environments, and integrated systems. Duties

• Install, configure, and troubleshoot audiovisual systems including video conferencing setups, digital signal processing equipment, and control systems.
• Read and interpret electrical schematics, blueprints, and technical drawings related to AV system installation and maintenance.
• Perform routine maintenance and repairs on AV equipment, low voltage wiring, cabling infrastructure, and telecommunication systems.
• Program and operate audiovisual control systems to ensure optimal performance during live events or daily operations.
• Conduct field service visits to client sites for system installation, troubleshooting, upgrades, and ongoing maintenance.
• Use hand tools, voltmeters, and other electrical testing devices to diagnose issues with AV or low voltage systems accurately.
• Collaborate with clients to understand their needs, provide technical support for video conferencing systems operation, and deliver exceptional customer service.

Experience

• Proven experience working in the AV industry with a strong understanding of audiovisual system installation and troubleshooting.
• Knowledge of electrical systems including E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation), low voltage wiring practices, and electrical schematic reading.
• Hands-on experience with control system programming specific to AV applications.
• Familiarity with computer networking principles as they relate to AV system integration.
• Demonstrated ability to troubleshoot software issues related to AV equipment and digital signal processing devices.
• Experience working on live event AV production projects is highly desirable.
• Mechanical knowledge related to cabling, equipment mounting, and infrastructure setup.
• Strong communication skills with a focus on customer service excellence in field service environments.

Pay: $20.00 - $40.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40.0 – 60.0 per week

Complex installs, system configuration, client‑facing responsibilities.

Level 4 – Lead Technician
Project leadership, training techs, full system integration.
