Audio Visual Technician

Job Overview

The technician is responsible for running the sound, lighting, projection and livestream operations for the church’s Saturday services. This includes creating playlists, setting up all song lyrics through ProPresenter, livestream/recording services and troubleshooting on the fly. Services are each Saturday, with work hours being 4:30 – 9:00. Potential for Monday hours (5:15 pm - 7:30 pm) as well.

Qualifications:

· A heart for God and His Word

· Comfortable with Behringer X32 digital console

· Experience with ProPresenter, Vimeo and Wirecast

· Calm troubleshooting and good communication skills

· Ability to work with and train volunteers

Pre-Service:

· Arrive 45-60 minutes before service to set up worship area, ensure microphones are sufficiently charged and connected.

· Perform sound checks and verify all platforms are operational.

· Set up Livestream and load visual materials, such as PowerPoints, and have playlist & lyrics ready.

· Coordinate with minister(s) for any schedule changes.

During Service:

· Monitor & adjust sound levels for music, announcements & teaching.

· Follow minister’s cues to boost sound as needed.

· Responsible for recording services and understanding when to stop recording and livestream.

· Ensure audio quality for sanctuary and livestream feeds.

· Monitor and troubleshoot quickly any A/V issues with livestream video and audio.

Post-service:

· Perform final checks and report any issues for the next service.

· Ensure any backups and recordings are in place before turning off programs.

· Collect & turn off all microphones, and the mic boxes.

· Turn off worship lighting.

· If last to leave the building, ensure thermostat is turned down, all lights are off and door is locked.

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4.5 – 6.5 per week
