Audio Visual Technician

Position Summary

We are seeking two experienced AV Installation Technicians to support a commercial audiovisual installation at Mountain Home Air Force Base.

Technicians will work under the direction of the Lead AV Engineer to install, cable, connect, test and prepare professional AV equipment for commissioning.

Responsibilities

• Install commercial AV equipment
• Remove or replace existing equipment as directed
• Install and secure projectors and projection screens
• Install ceiling-mounted speakers
• Install wired/wireless microphone equipment
• Pull and route AV cabling
• Terminate and label cables
• Install mounting hardware and brackets
• Assist with equipment racks and associated connections
• Verify equipment connections
• Perform cable continuity and basic signal testing
• Assist engineering staff with troubleshooting
• Maintain an organized installation site
• Assist with equipment inventory
• Support final testing and system commissioning

• Ability to read installation drawings
• Ability to perform physical installation work safely

Preferred Qualifications

• CTS or CTS-I
• Crestron installation experience
• Q-SYS familiarity
• Commercial or government AV experience
• Lift/ladder experience
• OSHA safety training
• Familiarity with AV racks and structured cabling
