Build the systems that bring rooms to life

Commercial Audio Video Front Range designs and installs integrated AV systems for businesses, schools, churches, and organizations across the region. We have offices in Cheyenne, WY and Fort Collins, CO and we’re growing. We’re looking for a hands-on Audiovisual Technician to join our Cheyenne team.

If you like solving problems, working with your hands, and learning new technology, this is a skilled-trade career with real room to grow. No degree required, and we’ll train the right person.

What you’ll do

• Install displays, projectors, screens, speakers, cameras, video walls, and equipment racks
• Pull, terminate, label, and test low-voltage cabling
• Read drawings and scopes of work and turn them into clean, professional installs
• Test systems, troubleshoot issues, and help with configuration and commissioning
• Flag field conditions or scope changes to project managers early
• Work alongside Lead Techs, engineers, and service teams, and help newer techs as you gain experience
• Represent us well on customer sites by being clear, courteous, and keeping a clean, safe job site

Tech you’ll work with (experience is a plus, but we’ll teach you)

• Conference rooms: Zoom Rooms, Microsoft Teams Rooms, BYOD systems
• Control and DSP: Crestron, Q-SYS, Extron, Biamp
• Video distribution, LED/LCD video walls, and projection
• Commercial audio, CCTV, and livestream cameras
• House of worship AV and drive-thru intercom/timer systems

What we’re looking for

• Experience in commercial AV, low-voltage, electrical, construction, IT, security, or telecom (3 years preferred, not required)
• Strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
• Ability to follow drawings and installation standards
• Self-motivated, with the ability to work and solve problems independently
• A team player who communicates well and works smoothly with installers, project managers, and customers
• A positive attitude and a strong work ethic
• Curiosity and a drive to keep learning

Requirements

• Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record
• Ability to lift and move AV equipment
• Comfortable working at heights, including on ladders and scissor lifts, often while installing heavy equipment overhead
• Ability to travel to customer sites within the service area, with occasional overnight stays for larger installations (lodging, meals, and per diem covered)
• Comfortable working on active construction and commercial job sites
• AVIXA CTS or CTS-I is a bonus, not a requirement
