Audio Visual Technician

Role Description

SYSTECH AV Canada is seeking a full-time Audio Visual Technician to join our installation and service team in the Greater Toronto Area (GTA). This is an on-site, hands-on role involving the installation, setup, testing, and troubleshooting of professional AV systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Install and set up AV systems, including displays, projectors, audio equipment, video conferencing systems, and related equipment
• Pull, terminate, label, and organize AV and network cabling
• Read and follow technical drawings, wiring diagrams, and equipment specifications
• Test and troubleshoot AV systems and resolve technical issues
• Support project leads and senior technicians during installations and service calls
• Set up and dismantle AV equipment as required
• Maintain tools, equipment, and a clean and safe work environment
• Document completed work and communicate professionally with clients and team members

Qualifications

• Basic to intermediate experience in AV installation or a related technical field
• Understanding of AV systems, signal flow, and cabling such as HDMI, SDI, and Cat5/6
• Basic troubleshooting and networking knowledge
• Experience with video conferencing, projectors, displays, or audio systems is an asset
• Proficiency with Microsoft applications
• Strong communication, teamwork, and attention to detail
• Ability to lift and move equipment and work at heights when required
• Willingness to travel to project sites throughout the GTA
• Valid driver’s license is preferred but not required
• We are looking for someone who is reliable, hands-on, team-oriented, and willing to learn and develop their skills in a professional AV environment.

Pay: $18.00-$19.00 per hour
