- Assist with production-related electrical and power troubleshooting, referring specialized work to qualified professionals when necessary.
- Help produce audio, video, lighting, and playback content in-house.
- Maintain clean, organized sound booths, control areas, equipment, cables, tools, and storage spaces.
- Perform basic preventive maintenance and promptly report damaged, missing, or unsafe equipment.
- Help create cue sheets, operating procedures, troubleshooting guides, and training materials.
- Train to support both Ka Moana Luau and Diamond Head Luau.
- Communicate professionally with show leadership, performers, musicians, and production staff.
- Follow all safety requirements and obtain approval before making changes that affect the production.
Qualifications
- Live audio, lighting, video, LED-wall, or playback experience preferred.
- Familiarity with digital sound consoles, wireless microphones, signal flow, lighting consoles, DMX, media playback, and basic networking is preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting, organization, and communication skills.
- Able to learn unfamiliar equipment and software independently.
- Reliable, punctual, attentive, and comfortable working in a fast-paced live environment.
- Respectful of Hawaiian and Pacific Island cultures and the performers who share them.
Physical and Scheduling Requirements
- Available to work 3–6 days per week, including evenings, weekends, holidays, and special events.
- Able to work in indoor and outdoor environments around loud sound, theatrical lighting, electrical equipment, weather exposure, and fire performances.
- Able to stand, walk, bend, climb stairs, and safely lift or move 50+ pounds.
- Must have reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
