Audiologist

JOB SUMMARY

Provide professional audiology care, treatment and counselling based on patients’ needs, while maintaining good patient rapport and supporting the marketing of Audiology and rehabilitation services.

Support the guidance, orientation and development of Audiology staff across clinical areas.

Oversee Audiology Services in the absence of the Head of Services.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Conduct Audiology sessions according to the roster.
2. Provide professional, efficient and high-quality patient care.
3. Monitor patients’ progress and provide appropriate counselling and follow-up instructions.
4. Maintain timely patient progress notes and provide relevant reports to consultants-in-charge.
5. Ensure all services provided to patients are appropriately charged.
6. Establish and maintain good working relationships with medical users, multidisciplinary staff and patients.
7. Participate in staff training programmes and keep professionally updated with current research, trends and techniques.
8. Maintain relevant patient statistics and records in a timely manner.
9. Assist in marketing available Audiology and rehabilitation services.
10. Participate in Department and Hospital quality indicators and contribute to the continuous improvement of Audiology services.
11. Guide and mentor Audiologists in the planning and delivery of patient care.
12. Provide constructive feedback, in consultation with the Manager, to support staff development and motivation.
13. Oversee Audiology Services and supervise Audiology staff in the absence of the Head of Services.
14. Assist the Head of Audiology Services in data collection.
15. Perform other duties and assignments as required by the immediate superior/Manager.

JOB REQUIREMENTS

• Degree in Audiology.
• Good interpersonal and communication skills.
• Customer service oriented.
• Computer literate.
• Advanced clinical and supervisory skills.
