Job Summary

Duties

• Install, configure, and maintain audiovisual equipment including video conferencing systems, audio systems, control systems, and digital signal processing devices.
• Troubleshoot AV system issues efficiently using schematic reading, electrical testing tools such as voltmeters, and software diagnostics to minimize downtime.
• Operate and manage live event AV production projects, ensuring high-quality sound, video, and control system performance throughout the event.
• Conduct routine maintenance on AV equipment, cabling infrastructure, and telecommunication systems to ensure optimal operation.
• Read blueprints and electrical schematics accurately to support system installation and troubleshooting efforts.
• Program and operate audiovisual control systems for seamless integration with various devices and platforms.
• Provide field service support by installing cabling, connectors, mechanical components, and performing electrical wiring in accordance with safety standards.
• Assist clients with video conferencing system setup and operation while delivering excellent customer service tailored to their needs.

Qualifications

• Proven experience working in the AV industry with a strong understanding of AV system installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Proficiency in control system programming (AV systems), electrical schematic reading, blueprint interpretation, and implementing audio/video solutions.
• Knowledge of low voltage wiring practices, E & I (Electrical & Instrumentation), and telecommunication systems.
• Skilled in equipment troubleshooting using diagnostic tools such as voltmeters and software troubleshooting techniques.
• Familiarity with digital signal processing (DSP), audio systems integration, video conferencing operation, and AV control software platforms.
• Mechanical aptitude with experience using hand tools for cabling and equipment installation.
• Ability to read electrical schematics accurately and interpret technical diagrams for complex AV setups.
• Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
• Experience managing live event AV production projects from setup through execution is highly desirable.

Pay: $26.00 - $31.31 per hour

Expected hours: 30.0 – 60.0 per week
