About Sharon AI

Sharon AI is an Australian sovereign Neocloud and NVIDIA Cloud Partner, delivering large-scale GPU compute platforms for enterprise, research and government customers. We design, build and operate high-performance AI infrastructure, enabling organisations to train, deploy and scale AI, machine learning and HPC workloads securely on Australian soil.

As we continue to grow, we're looking for an experienced Audit & Risk Coordinator to support our audit, risk and compliance activities across our Australian Neocloud and GPU infrastructure operations. Reporting to the Head of Operations, you'll help embed consistent audit practices and risk management processes across the business, working closely with technical, commercial and operational teams.

The Role

This is a permanent full-time role suited to a detail-oriented professional who enjoys working across audit, risk and operational teams in a fast-paced, AI-native infrastructure environment.

You'll coordinate internal and external audits, maintain the corporate risk register, support risk assessments for service and infrastructure changes, and help ensure audit and compliance activities are well documented and followed through to completion. You'll work closely with Build, Operations, Sales & Marketing teams, as well as external data centre providers, auditors and assessors.

Key Responsibilities

  • Coordinate the planning, scheduling and delivery of internal and external audits, including operational, financial and compliance audits
  • Maintain and update the corporate risk register, working with department leads to identify, assess and track mitigation actions
  • Support Acceptance Test Procedure (ATP) and Integrated System Testing (IST) documentation and sign-off ahead of facility go-lives
  • Track Service Change Requests (SCRs) to ensure appropriate risk assessment, approval and documentation processes are followed
  • Assist with reviewing data centre provider contracts and Monthly Recurring Charge (MRC) invoices for compliance with agreed commercial and service terms
  • Coordinate audit and risk activities across BMaaS and VMaaS service lines
  • Maintain the audit and compliance calendar, tracking upcoming reviews, certifications and renewal dates
  • Prepare audit findings reports and track remediation actions through to closure
  • Support the development and maintenance of risk management policies, procedures and frameworks
  • Liaise with external auditors, assessors and certification bodies to support audit engagements
  • Assist with incident and issue logging, root cause analysis and corrective action tracking
  • Support certification audits relevant to a Neocloud/data centre environment, including ISO 27001 and SOC 2
  • Prepare audit and risk reports and dashboards for the Head of Operations and relevant governance forums
  • Maintain accurate audit and risk documentation, evidence and records
  • Support business continuity and disaster recovery testing
  • Monitor regulatory and industry developments relevant to data centre operations and risk management

Skills & Experience

We're looking for someone with strong organisational skills, sound judgement and an ability to work effectively across technical, commercial and operational teams. You'll ideally bring:

  • 3–5+ years' experience in an audit, risk, compliance or governance coordination role
  • Experience coordinating internal or external audits
  • Experience maintaining risk registers and supporting risk assessment processes
  • Strong understanding of audit methodologies, risk management frameworks and internal control principles
  • Strong Excel and reporting skills, with experience using GRC or audit management software highly regarded
  • Excellent organisational skills and strong attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Ability to manage multiple audit and risk activities concurrently
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to build effective working relationships across technical, commercial and operational teams
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, Risk Management or a related field
  • Familiarity with ISO 27001, SOC 2 or similar information security and data centre standards

Highly Regarded

  • Experience in data centre, cloud, colocation or broader infrastructure-related industries
  • Experience working with third-party data centre or colocation providers
  • Experience preparing Board or executive-level risk and audit reporting
  • Working towards or holding a relevant professional certification such as CIA, CRMA, ISO 27001 Lead Auditor or CA/CPA
  • Familiarity with GRC tools or similar risk and compliance tracking systems

Why Join Sharon AI

  • Join one of Australia's fastest-growing sovereign AI infrastructure companies
  • Play a key role in building robust audit and risk practices as the business scales
  • Work across cutting-edge AI, cloud and high-performance computing infrastructure
  • Partner with technical, commercial and operational teams across the organisation
  • Gain exposure to audits, risk management, compliance and data centre operations
  • Grow your career within an innovative, rapidly scaling technology business
