Audit assistant

About the role

Arbor Thailand is hiring an Audit Assistant to join our growing audit practice in Sathorn Nakorn Tower, Bangkok. You'll work directly alongside senior practitioners on a varied portfolio including Thai SMEs, family businesses, and foreign invested companies and gaining the kind of hands-on, end-to-end audit exposure that's hard to get inside a large firm.

What you'll be doing

1. Assist in the planning and execution of audit procedures for a diverse range of clients
2. Perform substantive testing of transactions and balances, and tests of controls
3. Gather and analyse financial data and prepare audit documentation to TSA standards
4. Support the engagement team in identifying issues and forming recommendations
5. Provide support to senior team members as required
6. Work within our quality-control and independence framework (TFAC/IESBA)

What we're looking for

1. Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
2. 1-3 years of experience in audit or accounting, preferably in an external audit environment
3. Working knowledge of TFRS / TFRS for NPAEs and Thai audit practice
4. Proficient in Microsoft Office suite, particularly Excel
5. Good written and spoken Thai ; functional English for international clients and IFRS work
6. A self-starter who also works well in a small team

Preferred (a plus, not required)

1. Studying toward, or planning to pursue, the Thai CPA
2. Exposure to CaseWare or other audit software
3. Experience with foreign-invested or IFRS-reporting clients
