Audit Assistant

Job Purpose

Supports the audit team in reviewing, evaluating, and testing financial and operational records. Helps ensure accuracy, adherence to internal controls, and compliance with company policies and regulatory standards.

Key Responsibilities

• Audit Execution & Verification: Assist senior auditors in planning and carrying out internal, financial, or operational audits. Examine financial statements, transaction receipts, vouchers, and ledger entries for accuracy and policy compliance.
• Working Papers & Documentation: Prepare clear, organized audit working papers, flowcharts, and supporting documentation detailing test procedures and evidence gathered.
• Compliance & Control Reviews: Help evaluate the effectiveness of internal control systems, identifying operational inefficiencies, financial discrepancies, or inventory/cash overages and shortages.
• Report Drafting: Summarize audit findings, draft initial observation summaries, and assist in preparing formal audit reports for supervisory review.
• Fieldwork & Coordination: Liaise with store, branch, or departmental personnel to obtain required financial files, clarify operational procedures, and conduct inventory counts.
