Audit Assistants

About the role

Khoo Wong & Chan is looking for dedicated and motivated Audit Assistants to join our growing audit team in Kuala Lumpur.

What you'll be doing

• Assist in the planning, execution and completion of external audit engagements.
• Perform audit procedures, including detailed testing of financial statements and supporting documentation.
• Prepare and maintain audit working papers and document audit findings clearly and accurately.
• Liaise with clients to obtain relevant financial and operational information and supporting documents.
• Assist in analyzing financial information and identifying areas requiring further audit attention.
• Keep up to date with changes in accounting standards, auditing standards and relevant regulations.
• Work closely with senior team members to ensure audit engagements are completed efficiently and to a high standard.
• Assist in ad-hoc assignments and other projects as required.

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline.
• 0–2 years of experience in external audit or a similar role. Fresh graduates are welcome to apply.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with good attention to detail.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant accounting/audit software.
• A positive, proactive and adaptable attitude.
• Willingness to learn and develop professionally in the audit profession.
