Audit Associate

About the role

We are seeking an Audit Associate to join our team at JP Centurion & Partners PLT based in Bayan Lepas, Penang. This is a full-time position where you will play a key role in providing audit services to our diverse client base. As an Audit Associate, you will be responsible for conducting thorough audits, analysing financial data, and ensuring compliance with relevant laws and regulations.

What you'll be doing

• Performing comprehensive audits of financial statements and accounting records
• Analysing financial data and identifying potential issues or discrepancies
• Documenting audit findings and preparing detailed reports
• Collaborating with clients to understand their business operations and financial procedures
• Ensuring compliance with applicable accounting standards (e.g. MFRS, MPERS, US GAAP and etc), regulations, and internal policies
• Providing recommendations for improving financial processes and internal controls
• Participating in team meetings and contributing to the overall function of the audit department

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting or a related field
• Fresh graduates are encouraged to apply
• 1-2 years of experience in a public accounting firm or relevant audit role will be an added advantage
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
• Knowledge of relevant accounting standards, regulations, and best practices
