Position Summary

We are looking for a meticulous, detail-oriented Audit Associate to join our Internal Audit team. In this role, you will assist in evaluating and enhancing the effectiveness of the Club’s risk management, internal controls, financial operations, and compliance procedures.

Key Responsibilities & Job Description

• Internal Audit Execution: Perform routine and special financial, operational, and compliance audits across various departments (e.g., Food & Beverage, Sports & Recreation, Membership, Operations, and Purchasing).
• Control Evaluation: Test internal control systems, inventory checks, point-of-sale (POS) reconciliations, cash handling, and procurement processes to identify gaps or control weaknesses.
• Audit Documentation: Prepare comprehensive working papers, audit reports, and flowcharts documenting audit findings, risk exposures, and root cause analysis.
• Inventory & Asset Verification: Conduct periodic and surprise physical count audits of sports gear, F&B inventory, fixed assets, and club supplies.
• Compliance Review: Ensure club operations adhere to established internal policies, standard operating procedures (SOPs), relevant Philippine tax regulations, and labor guidelines.
• Recommendations & Follow-up: Draft practical, value-adding recommendations to improve operational efficiency and monitor the implementation of agreed audit action plans.
• Ad-hoc Investigations: Assist management with special reviews, fraud investigations, or operational analysis as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

• Educational Background: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy, Internal Auditing, Financial Management, or a related field. (Certified Public Accountant (CPA) license or Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) progress is an advantage, but not required).
• Work Experience: 1 to 3 years of professional experience in internal or external auditing. Fresh graduates with strong academic credentials or relevant internship experience in audit firm settings are welcome to apply.
• Industry Context: Previous experience in hospitality, club management, food & beverage, or retail environment is highly desirable.
• Technical Skills:
• Strong knowledge of Philippine accounting standards, financial processes, and internal control frameworks.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite (advanced Excel capabilities) and accounting/POS software systems.
• Key Competencies:
• High level of integrity, professional skepticism, and discretion in handling confidential information.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and quantitative skills.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Tagalog for effective stakeholder interaction.
• High attention to detail and ability to work independently or within a collaborative team.
