Audit Associate

XR&J Fitness Corp. is looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Audit Associate to support the internal audit and compliance activities of our Anytime Fitness clubs in Cebu.

Job Summary

The Audit Associate will support the company’s internal audit activities by reviewing operational, financial, and administrative processes across the Cebu clubs. This role will help identify process gaps, control weaknesses, compliance issues, and opportunities for improvement while ensuring that established company policies and procedures are consistently followed.

This is a hybrid position, primarily working from home with visits to Anytime Fitness branches in Cebu when necessary for audits, validation, monitoring, and other operational requirements.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct internal audits of club operations, financial transactions, and administrative processes.
• Review compliance with company policies, internal controls, and standard operating procedures.
• Perform audit testing, validation, and reconciliation of records and transactions.
• Review cash handling, sales transactions, inventory, documentation, and other operational controls.
• Identify discrepancies, control weaknesses, process gaps, and potential risks.
• Prepare audit findings, reports, and recommendations for corrective action.
• Conduct follow-up reviews to monitor the implementation of agreed corrective actions.
• Coordinate with club teams and management during audit activities and branch visits.
• Maintain organized and accurate audit working papers and supporting documentation.
• Assist in improving internal control systems and audit procedures.
• Conduct special audits, investigations, and other compliance reviews as assigned.
• Perform other audit-related tasks as may be required by management.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field.
• At least 1–2 years of experience in internal audit, compliance, risk management, or a related function.
• Strong preference for candidates with internal audit experience rather than external audit experience.
• Experience in reviewing business operations, internal controls, financial transactions, and compliance is highly preferred.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify discrepancies or irregularities.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel.
• Good written and verbal communication skills.
• Able to prepare clear and well-organized audit reports and documentation.
• Highly organized, independent, and capable of managing tasks with minimal supervision.
• Willing to conduct branch visits within Cebu when necessary.
• Willing to render work on weekends and holidays when required for scheduled audits, branch visits, or other audit-related activities.
• Comfortable working in a hybrid work environment.

Work Arrangement

Hybrid Work Setup

• Work-from-home for regular audit, analysis, reporting, and documentation activities.
• Branch visits to Anytime Fitness Cebu clubs when necessary for audits, validation, compliance checks, and operational reviews.
• Weekend and holiday work may be required when necessary to conduct audits based on branch operations and audit schedules.
• Work schedules may be adjusted depending on audit requirements and business needs.
