About the role

B.G. LEE & CO. is seeking dedicated Audit Associates to join our team in George Town, Penang. As an Audit Associate, you will play a vital role in supporting our external audit activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records for our diverse client base. This is a full-time position that offers opportunities for professional development and growth within our respected accounting firm.

What you'll be doing

• Performing detailed audits of financial statements, accounts, and records for a range of clients
• Assisting in the preparation of audit reports, providing clear and concise findings and recommendations
• Conducting analytical reviews and substantive testing procedures to verify the completeness and accuracy of financial data
• Collaborating with senior audit team members to address complex accounting and reporting issues
• Maintaining comprehensive audit documentation and working papers
• Providing excellent client service and responding promptly to inquiries
• Preparation of tax computations and the completion and submission of statutory tax returns

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Fresh graduates are encourage to apply
• Candidates with 1-3 years of experience in external audit or a similar accounting role are preferred. Salary will be commensurate with experience and qualifications
• Proficient knowledge of audit procedures, accounting principles, and financial reporting standards
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively interact with clients and team members
• Familiarity with audit software and data analysis tools
• A commitment to professional development and continuous learning
