Audit Capability and Learning Manager

Role Overview

The Audit Capability and Learning Manager builds the firm's audit capability by designing,

implementing, and continuously improving learning and capability development strategies. The role

strengthens technical competence, professional judgment, methodology application, and audit

quality across all levels of the practice, working closely with Audit Leadership, Audit Quality,

Methodology teams, and subject matter experts.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain the audit learning strategy and competency framework aligned with

methodology, quality priorities, and business objectives.

• Conduct training needs analyses and recommend annual learning priorities based on

inspection findings, quality reviews, and regulatory developments.

• Design role-based development programs and structured learning journeys, combining

classroom, virtual, coaching, simulation, and on-the-job methods.

• Set quality standards for facilitator guides, participant materials, assessments, and digital

learning content.

• Partner with Audit Leadership, Quality, Methodology teams, and SMEs to translate

inspection findings and recurring issues into targeted capability-building initiatives.

• Oversee end-to-end program execution, including scheduling, CPD compliance, and LMS

administration.

• Leverage LMS platforms and learning analytics to track completion, effectiveness, and

capability trends; prepare management reports and dashboards.

• Monitor recurring capability gaps post-training and recommend reinforcement or

curriculum enhancements.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy; CPA strongly preferred (CA/ACCA an advantage).

• 5+ years of progressive external audit experience, preferably Big 4 or large professional

services; supervisory, coaching, or technical review experience highly preferred.

• Experience in L&D, instructional design, curriculum development, or technical training

preferred; strong audit expertise with a passion for developing people also considered.

• Working knowledge of ISA/PSA, IFRS/PFRS, audit methodology, root cause analysis, and

adult learning principles.

• Familiarity with LMS platforms, e-learning tools, and learning analytics.
