Audit Clerk

We are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Audit Clerk to join our growing audit team. This is an excellent opportunity for an individual who is looking to develop their career in auditing and gain practical experience in a professional environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with audit engagements from planning through to completion.
• Perform audit procedures and testing as instructed by senior team members.
• Prepare audit working papers and supporting documentation.
• Assist with the preparation and review of financial statements.
• Perform reconciliations and verify financial information.
• Obtain and evaluate audit evidence.
• Identify discrepancies and bring findings to the attention of the Audit Senior.
• Maintain accurate and organised audit files.
• Communicate professionally with clients and respond to information requests.
• Ensure all work is completed accurately and within required deadlines.
• Adhere to company policies, professional standards, and audit procedures.

Minimum Requirements

• Grade 12 / Matric.
• Relevant qualification or studies in Accounting, Auditing, Finance, or a related field.
• Previous audit experience will be advantageous.
• Knowledge of accounting principles and audit procedures.
• Computer literate, with good working knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word.
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy.
• Good communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
• Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Willingness to travel to client sites when required.
