Audit Coordination Consultant - Finance - CDI/Freelance

Context

A European financial institution in Luxembourg is strengthening its Audit Coordination and Institutional Affairs division. As a consultant, you will support the team in implementing, coordinating, monitoring, administering and reporting on the institution's audit, assurance and evaluation activities, in close contact with internal stakeholders and external auditors.

Missions

• Coordinate ISAE 3000 assurance engagements and Agreed-Upon Procedures (AUP) engagements, from planning to reporting
• Support institutional audits and external audits: preparation, document requests, follow-up of the auditors' work
• Contribute to evaluations carried out by or on behalf of the institution
• Track audit recommendations and action plans, and prepare follow-up reporting for management
• Support regulatory analysis and self-assessments against applicable banking best-practice frameworks
• Contribute to periodic institutional assessments and their reporting
• Synthesise complex input from many contributors into clear, strategic outputs, often on very short deadlines

Environment

• Audit coordination, assurance (ISAE 3000, AUP), external and internal audit
• Regulation of the financial sector, banking best-practice frameworks, self-assessments
• Investment and financing operations and their operational risk aspects
• MS Office (advanced Excel, PowerPoint), reporting tools

Working conditions

• Contract: Freelance, permanent or fixed-term: we will find a solution as long as you are the right candidate
• Location: Luxembourg, on site
• We are looking for people ready to relocate and work in Luxembourg
• Salary / daily rate: depending on profile
• Languages: English (fluent, mandatory) and French

1. University degree, preferably postgraduate, in Accounting, Finance or Law
2. At least 2 years of experience in external audit, internal audit or regulation in the financial sector
3. Good understanding of investment and financing operations and related operational risks
4. Good IT skills
5. Fluent English, written and spoken; French is a plus
6. Strong organisational and analytical skills; able to turn complex input into strategic output
7. Flexible and resilient: able to handle urgent requests at short notice and to work under pressure
8. Team player with proven communication skills
9. Ready to relocate and work in Luxembourg
