Audit Intern

We're looking for Fresh Graduates who are interested in Audit and Tax to join our growing firm and support our Audit & Tax Director in delivering audit, tax, and compliance services to our clients. This is a foundational hire — you'll be one of the first few dedicated team members in this department, with real opportunity to help shape how it's run as we scale.

What You'll Do

• Assist in planning and executing statutory audits, including fieldwork, testing, and documentation
• Prepare corporate and individual tax computations and returns for review
• Support preparation of audit working papers and financial statements in accordance with applicable standards (MFRS/MPERS)
• Liaise directly with clients to collect documents, clarify queries, and follow up on outstanding items — with minimal supervision
• Handle routine engagements independently, escalating only where judgment calls or sign-off are needed
• Help maintain and improve internal checklists, templates, and workflows as the department grows
• Keep track of filing deadlines and statutory compliance timelines across the client portfolio

Who We're Looking For

• Diploma/Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (professional qualification such as ACCA/MICPA in progress is a plus)

• Comfortable working with a degree of autonomy — our director isn't always on-site, so you'll need to manage your own workload and use good judgment on when to escalate

• Detail-oriented, organized, and able to manage multiple client deadlines at once

• Willing to learn and grow into a more senior role as the department expands

• Based in Johor Bahru
