Audit Manager

Harding, Shymanski & Co., P.S.C. (https://www.hsccpa.com), a leading public accounting and consulting firm, is seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our Louisville office. This role requires a minimum of 6+ years of accounting and auditing experience, preferably within public accounting.

Responsibilities include:

• Proficient knowledge and application of GAAP, financing reporting and audit methodologies
• Review audit, review, and compilation engagements with varying levels of complexity
• Gain an understanding of client businesses and use this knowledge to identify opportunities and provide consulting
• Assist in the development of staff
• Responsible for assigned client groups, including development of relationships, budgets and timely delivery of service
• Active participation in department meetings and involvement in some administrative and leadership functions

Skills/Qualification:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting
• CPA certification required
• A minimum of 6+ years of comprehensive audit and accounting experience, including public accounting experience
• Knowledge of GAAP, accounting and auditing
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills
• Effective project management ability and managing multiple projects and deadlines
• Self-motivated and ability to work independently
• Flexibility and willingness to work additional hours when required
• Capable and motivated to provide our clients with excellent and timely client service
