Audit Manager – CPA Firm (Full-Time)

Job Description:

Phillips Feldman Group is a growing CPA firm located in beautiful Naples, FL. We are seeking an experienced Audit Manager to join our team. The ideal candidate is a motivated accounting professional with strong audit experience, excellent communication skills, and the ability to lead audit engagements while providing high-quality service to our clients.

Responsibilities:

• Manage and oversee audit, review, and compilation engagements from planning through completion.
• Develop audit strategies, prepare engagement timelines, and ensure engagements are completed efficiently and accurately.
• Review financial statements, workpapers, and audit documentation for compliance with professional standards.
• Identify accounting and internal control issues and provide recommendations to clients.
• Supervise, mentor, and review the work of senior and staff accountants.
• Communicate directly with clients to gather information, resolve issues, and provide guidance.
• Assist with complex accounting matters and research as needed.
• Ensure compliance with GAAP, GAAS, and firm quality control standards.
• Participate in client meetings and maintain strong client relationships.
• Assist with staff development, training, and process improvements within the audit department.

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field required.
• CPA license preferred (or actively pursuing CPA certification).
• 5+ years of public accounting audit experience.
• Strong knowledge of audit procedures, financial statement preparation, and accounting principles.
• Experience managing multiple client engagements and meeting deadlines.
• Excellent analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and accounting/audit software.
