Audit Manager

Key Responsibilities

• Independently manage a portfolio of audit clients and deliver exceptional client service.
• Lead and supervise audit teams to ensure assignments are completed efficiently, accurately, and within established deadlines.
• Plan and allocate audit engagements effectively while managing staff capacity and resource utilization.
• Review audit files, working papers, and financial statements to ensure compliance with professional standards and firm policies.
• Evaluate audit plans and identify potential risk areas and audit issues.
• Monitor audit processes and ensure engagements are conducted in accordance with the firm's methodologies, policies, and regulatory requirements.
• Provide coaching, guidance, and mentorship to team members to support their professional development and career progression.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with clients while identifying opportunities to add value to their business.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related discipline, and/or professional qualifications such as MICPA, ACCA, CPA Australia, CIMA, or equivalent.
• Membership with the Malaysian Institute of Accountants (MIA).
• Minimum 8 years of relevant audit experience, including at least 3-4 years in a supervisory or managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of auditing standards, financial reporting standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Excellent verbal, written, presentation, and interpersonal communication skills.
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and technical accounting skills.
• Proven leadership capabilities with the ability to manage, motivate, and develop teams.
• Excellent planning, organizational, and project management skills with the ability to manage multiple engagements simultaneously.
• Proactive, self-motivated, and committed to continuous improvement.
• Strong client management skills with a business-oriented and entrepreneurial mindset.
