Audit Manager (Remote)

We are looking for an experienced Audit Manager to lead a portfolio of Bermuda-based audit engagements and support a team of audit professionals based in the Philippines. This role combines hands-on engagement management, team development and direct client interaction, with opportunities to travel to Bermuda

Audit Engagement Management

• Lead audit engagements from planning through completion, including timelines, budgets and resource allocation.
• Review audit workpapers and ensure procedures, conclusions and findings are clearly documented.
• Ensure engagements comply with applicable professional, regulatory and firm quality standards.

Client Management

• Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients and keep them informed throughout the engagement.
• Build strong working relationships and provide practical guidance on audit and accounting matters.
• Address client questions and resolve engagement issues promptly.

Team Leadership and Technical Support

• Lead, coach and mentor a team of approximately 5 to 7 junior and senior audit professionals.
• Provide regular feedback, support professional development and identify training needs.
• Create a collaborative and supportive team environment while maintaining clear expectations and accountability.
• Keep up to date with changes in auditing, financial reporting and relevant industry requirements, and provide technical guidance when needed.

Qualifications

• CPA or equivalent professional designation.
• At least 5 years of post-qualification experience, including 2 years in an Audit Manager or similar leadership role.
• Strong knowledge of audit methodology, engagement management and financial reporting.
• Ability to manage multiple engagements, teams and client relationships effectively.
• Knowledge of IFRS and US GAAP is an advantage.
• Insurance audit experience is preferred but not essential.
• Strong analytical, project management and communication skills.
• Experience with audit software and Microsoft Office; CaseWare experience is beneficial.
