Every day, our people work together to keep goods moving safely, efficiently, and sustainably, underpinned by strong customer partnerships and a commitment to excellence.
ABOUT THE ROLE |Te tūranga mahi
This is a rare opportunity to step into a highly visible governance role, partnering closely with the CFO, Executive Leadership Team, Board, and Audit & Risk Committee.
This is a permanent full-time role; however, we would be open to a reduced hours arrangement for the right candidate.
As our Audit, Risk & Compliance Manager, you will lead the organisation's statutory finance compliance, internal audit coordination, risk management, and insurance activities. While insurance forms part of the portfolio, the primary focus of the role is providing high-quality governance, assurance, risk, and compliance support that enables informed decision-making and strong organisational accountability.
Success in this role will come from your ability to bring structure to complex governance processes, facilitate meaningful conversations around risk, challenge constructively, and produce high-quality board and committee reporting. You will work across all levels of the business, partnering with leaders to strengthen controls, ensure compliance obligations are met, and provide confidence that key risks are being effectively managed.
At Port of Auckland, we embrace High Performance, High Engagement (HPHE) ways of working. We believe the people closest to the work are often best placed to help solve problems, and we value professionals who can build strong relationships, influence positive outcomes, and drive continuous improvement.
