Audit Senior

About the role

X Consultancy Group Sdn Bhd is seeking an experienced Audit Senior to join our External Audit team in Kepong Baru, Kuala Lumpur. This is a full-time position that plays a crucial role in delivering high-quality audit services to our diverse client base.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare audit reports and communicate findings to clients and senior management

• Plan and execute external audit engagements in accordance with International Standards on Auditing (ISA) and relevant regulatory requirements

• Evaluate internal controls, identify audit risks and develop appropriate audit procedures to address identified risks

• Review and approve audit documentation, working papers and evidence to ensure completeness and accuracy

• Conduct substantive testing of financial transactions, account balances and disclosures

• Maintain strong client relationships through effective communication and delivery of professional audit services

• Identify opportunities for audit efficiency improvements and implement best practices within the team

• Stay updated on changes to accounting standards, auditing standards and relevant regulatory requirements

What we're looking for

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or a related discipline

• Professional accounting qualification such as CA, ACCA, CPA or equivalent recognised qualification

• Minimum 4-6 years of post-qualification experience in external audit or a similar audit environment

• Strong technical knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) and Malaysian Financial Reporting Standards (MFRS)

• Solid understanding of auditing standards and audit methodologies

• Proficiency in audit software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel and Word

• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to identify issues and develop practical solutions

• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with clients and colleagues at all levels

• Knowledge of different industry sectors and their specific audit considerations is desirable

• Experience with risk assessment and internal control evaluation is preferred
