Audit Senior Executive

About the role

This is an audit role responsible for handling audit assignments from planning through to completion, performing fieldwork, and managing junior team members.

Job Responsibilities

• Handle audit assignments from planning through to completion.
• Perform audit fieldwork, review and verification of accounting records.
• Prepare and review audit working papers.
• Prepare financial statements and draft audit reports.
• Identify and discuss accounting and audit issues with the Audit Manager / Partner.
• Liaise directly with clients to obtain necessary information and explanations.
• Review work performed by junior audit team members.
• Guide and coach junior team members during audit assignments.
• Ensure audit assignments are completed efficiently and within deadlines.
• Assist the Audit Manager / Partner in resolving audit and accounting issues and ad-hoc tasks, where required.

Experience & Requirements

• Minimum 2 years' relevant audit experience.
• Candidates with 3–5 years' audit experience are preferred.
• Salary will be commensurate with experience, technical ability and overall suitability.
• Degree in Accounting, Finance or related field, or relevant professional qualification.
• Strong knowledge of accounting and auditing principles.
• Able to handle audit assignments with minimum supervision.
• Good knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and audit software.
• Strong communication, analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Good leadership and team management skills.
• Able to communicate confidently with clients.
• Independent, responsible, detail-oriented and results-oriented.
• Able to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
• Good command of English and Bahasa Malaysia. Mandarin is an added advantage.
