AUDIT SENIOR/SUPERVISOR

About the role

This is an audit role requiring the ability to handle audit assignments independently from planning to completion, including planning and managing audit assignments, performing and reviewing audit procedures in accordance with applicable auditing and accounting standards, and preparing and reviewing audit working papers, financial statements and audit reports.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and manage audit assignments from planning through to completion
• Perform and review audit procedures in accordance with applicable auditing and accounting standards
• Prepare and review audit working papers, financial statements and audit reports
• Identify and evaluate audit risks and internal control weaknesses
• Review the work performed by Audit Associates and Junior Auditors
• Provide guidance, coaching and training to junior audit staff
• Liaise with clients to obtain necessary information, documents and explanations
• Monitor audit progress and ensure assignments are completed within the required deadlines
• Discuss and resolve audit and accounting issues with clients and the audit team
• Ensure proper documentation and filing of audit working papers

About you

• Bachelor's Degree in Accounting or equivalent
• Minimum 3 years of relevant audit experience, preferably in an audit firm
• Good knowledge of auditing standards, accounting standards and financial reporting requirements
• Experience in preparing and reviewing audit working papers and financial statements
• Strong analytical, problem-solving and organisational skills
• Good communication and interpersonal skills
• Proficient in Microsoft Office, particularly Microsoft Excel
• Able to manage multiple assignments and meet deadlines
• Responsible, detail-oriented and able to work independently as well as in a team
