Audit Services Group - Senior Auditor

Responsibilities

• Assist in planning, performing, supervising, and coordinating the completion of assigned audits in accordance with approved audit programs and departmental and professional standards in established timeframes
• Assist in establishing risk-based audit work programs to effectively evaluate operations, based on best practices, regulatory requirements, and the operating environment
• Deploy data analytics to identify anomalies, trends, and insights for audit engagements
• Observe and examine transactions, documents, records, reports, and procedures sufficient to identify root-cause and to provide a basis for the audit opinion; prepare audit work papers recording and summarizing data pertinent to assigned audits
• Identify and recommend opportunities to increase efficiency and effectiveness of operations while maintaining adequate controls to safeguard company assets
• Assist in the preparation of formal written reports covering the results of audits and present audit findings and recommendations to the management
• Communicate professionally and appropriately to process owners and executive management during and at the conclusion of the audit with regard to audit findings and recommendations
• Assist with training and the development of new staff members in internal audit techniques, organizational issues, and departmental procedures and protocols

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Business Intelligence, Data Analytics, Accounting, Finance or related field is preferred
• Minimum 4 years of related work experience
• Certification in (or in the final stages of attainment in) at least one of the following: CIA, CPA or CISA is preferred
• Exhibits outstanding supervisory, prioritization, and time management skills
• Excellent verbal and written English communication and presentation skills
• Ability to execute audit assignments from the planning stage through final report issuance is required
• Must have knowledge of auditing standards, principles and techniques
• Must have the ability to manage the collection, compilation, analysis, and collection of data
• Proficient in MS Office Suite; Ideagen Pentana, data analytics tools (Alteryx, Power BI) experience is a plus
