Auditor / Accountant

About the role

AGS Advisory, a leading financial advisory and accounting firm, is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Auditor / Senior Accountant to join our team in Kuala Lumpur. As a key member of our Accounting and Audit division, you will play a vital role in delivering exceptional financial services to our diverse client base.

What you'll be doing

• Conducting thorough audits and financial reviews to ensure the accuracy and compliance of our clients' accounting practices
• Preparing detailed financial reports, statements, and analyses to support strategic decision-making for our clients
• Collaborating with cross-functional teams to identify and address potential financial risks and opportunities
• Providing expert guidance and recommendations to clients on complex accounting and regulatory issues
• Participating in the development and implementation of innovative financial solutions to meet client needs
• Mentoring and training junior members of the accounting and audit team
• Prepare a full set of management accounts

What we're looking for

• A bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification
• At least 5 years of experience in a senior auditor or senior accountant role, preferably within a reputable professional services firm
• Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with a keen eye for detail
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities to effectively liaise with clients and team members
• Proficiency in the use of accounting software and data analysis tools
• A thorough understanding of financial reporting standards, regulations, and best practices
