Job Location: Sharjah, UAE

Job Purpose

To ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial and accounting operations in the Group, verify compliance with financial policies and documentation cycles, detect errors or financial irregularities, and support continuous improvement in financial performance through monthly audit reports and ad-hoc reporting based on Risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Review and examine financial and accounting processes across key cycles (revenue, expenses, procurement, inventory, fixed assets, payroll, etc.).
• Validate the accuracy of journal entries, financial records, postings, Monthly and year-end adjustments in line with IFRS, UAE VAT, and Corporate Tax requirements.
• Audit expense and revenue invoices, payment and receipt documents, and ensure completeness of supporting documentation and compliance with approved policies.
• Follow up on petty cash, advances, and monthly bank reconciliations; verify accuracy of bank and cash balances and Practice sudden - flash audits.
• Review payroll sheets, and payments to suppliers and contractors to ensure proper application of approval limits and financial delegations and write reports for the findings.
• Identify and evaluate risks of material misstatement, including fraud risks, and design audit procedures to address these risks.
• Assist in Evaluating internal controls in financial cycles, identify gaps, and give recommendations.
• Detect accounting errors, financial manipulations, or policy deviations, and prepare immediate financial irregularity reports.
• Assist in Coordinating with external auditors.
• Any other duties rising up in the circle of the work flow.

Qualifications and Experience

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Finance (certification such as CPA, CIA is a plus).
• 3-5 years of experience in Internal / External audit in construction and real estate, with strong exposure to the UAE financial environment (VAT, Corporate Tax, IFRS).
• Proficiency in Accounting systems (Al Ameen, Al Aqari), financial analysis tools, and advanced Excel.
• Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and ability to identify abnormal patterns in financial data.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook etc.) data matching, sorting, filtering.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills in both Arabic and English.
• High standards of integrity, accuracy, objectivity.
