Australian Accountant

We are looking for a highly capable Accountant / Tax Accountant with a strong foundation in Australian taxation and public practice experience. You’ll be supporting our friendly team to deliver top shelf support and advice to our clients. This role is suited to someone who can work independently, manage multiple tasks efficiently, and is looking to grow their career in a supportive and professional environment.

Responsibilities
Prepare tax returns for individuals, partnerships, companies, and trusts in accordance with Australian tax legislation
Draft and finalise financial statements for a variety of business structures
Assist with BAS, IAS, FBT, and other tax compliance requirements
Perform bookkeeping, payroll, reconciliations, journal entries, and general ledger maintenance
Support Managers and Directors with tax planning, advisory or consulting tasks as needed

Requirements
CPA qualified (or equivalent CA/IPA) preferred (not mandatory)
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
Minimum 3 years of experience in Australian public practice (could be less for exceptional candidate)
Knowledge of Australian tax laws and compliance requirements
Advanced proficiency with Xero and cloud-based accounting systems
Experience preparing year-end financial statements and working papers
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal
Ability to manage time effectively and meet tight deadlines
Familiarity with software such as Xero, XPM, FYI, Cloud Workpaper, Teams, SharePoint is desirable
Must be Filipinos living in the Philippines
Living around Pampanga area is desirable, but not mandatory. We have office in Pampanga, it is recommended to visit our office at least in the first few weeks, if this is practical, to get to know our other PH teams.

We are chartered accounting firm based in North Sydney. We currently have six Philippines team member already and we are planning to grow further. We are looking to add one or two more Philippines accountant to join our team.
