Summary

Cobalt Recruitment is supporting a confidential search for a senior capital-markets professional to join a financial-services business in Luxembourg.

You will combine commercial leadership and transaction oversight with senior executive responsibility, working with colleagues and external advisers to oversee business activities, financial performance and operations.

The position offers hybrid working and would suit an experienced capital-markets professional seeking a broad leadership remit. Further details about the employer and regulatory responsibilities will be shared during confidential discussions.

The role

• Provide senior leadership across capital-markets activities and related business operations.
• Oversee financing transactions, commercial agreements and execution processes.
• Develop relationships with clients, counterparties and professional advisers.
• Coordinate due diligence, transaction documentation, completion and ongoing monitoring.
• Oversee budgets, management information and financial reporting.
• Manage external service providers and monitor service delivery.
• Maintain effective governance, reporting and escalation processes.
• Work closely with colleagues responsible for compliance and risk.
• Report to the Board on commercial, financial and operational matters.
• Support engagement with relevant regulatory authorities.

About you

• Relevant experience in capital markets, investment banking, corporate finance or regulated financial services.
• Experience in a MiFID-regulated environment, with a strong understanding of capital-markets activities and related regulatory responsibilities.
• Direct experience in financing transactions, advisory work or capital-markets execution.
• Experience overseeing business functions or external service providers.
• Strong commercial judgement and the ability to balance business objectives with regulatory responsibilities.
• Comfortable working with senior stakeholders, Boards and professional advisers.
• Relevant professional qualifications and suitability for a senior regulated appointment.
• Familiarity with Luxembourg’s financial-services environment would be advantageous.
