Job Summary

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Auto Biller to join our dynamic finance team. In this vital role, you will be responsible for accurately processing billing transactions related to automotive services, ensuring timely and precise invoicing for clients. Your expertise will help maintain seamless financial operations, support collections efforts, and uphold compliance with industry standards such as GAAP and SOX. The ideal candidate will possess strong data entry skills, proficiency in various accounting software, and excellent customer service abilities to communicate effectively with clients and internal teams.

Duties

• Prepare and generate accurate auto bills using billing software, ensuring all details align with service records and client agreements
• Manage accounts receivable by tracking outstanding invoices, following up on overdue payments, and reconciling discrepancies through account analysis
• Utilize accounting systems such as QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, and other financial software to input data, generate reports, and perform account reconciliations
• Perform data entry tasks with high precision, including 10 key typing and double entry bookkeeping to maintain accurate financial records
• Conduct collections account management by contacting clients via phone or email to resolve billing issues and facilitate prompt payments
• Assist with accounts payable processes by verifying invoices against purchase orders and supporting documentation
• Analyze Excel data using formulas and pivot tables for detailed account analysis and reporting purposes
• Ensure compliance with SOX controls by maintaining proper documentation of billing activities and supporting audit requirements
• Provide exceptional customer service through clear communication, professional phone etiquette, and timely responses to client inquiries
• Support technical accounting tasks such as journal entries, account reconciliation, and credit analysis as needed

Qualifications

• Proven experience in accounting or finance roles with a focus on billing or accounts receivable management
• Strong knowledge of GAAP (Generally Accepted Accounting Principles) and SOX compliance standards
• Proficiency in accounting software including QuickBooks, Sage, PeopleSoft, and specialized billing systems
• Skilled in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel (formulas, data analysis) and spreadsheets for reporting purposes
• Familiarity with financial concepts such as debits & credits, journal entries, account reconciliation, and double entry bookkeeping
• Excellent attention to detail with the ability to perform meticulous data entry and analysis tasks accurately
• Effective communication skills for client interaction via phone or email along with professional phone etiquette
• Ability to handle collections accounts efficiently while maintaining positive client relationships
• Strong organizational skills with the capacity to manage multiple tasks simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
