Auto Body / Painter Helper

About the Role:

PUR Collision Center in Glendale, CA is looking for a talented Auto Body Technician/Painter Helper to join our growing team! This is a great opportunity to work alongside skilled professionals in a fast-paced collision repair environment where quality craftsmanship is at the heart of everything we do.

Responsibilities:

• Assist with auto body repair including dent removal, panel replacement, and structural repairs
• Support lead painters with surface preparation, masking, priming, and finish sanding
• Mix and apply paint, primers, and clear coats under the direction of senior technicians
• Inspect vehicle surfaces for imperfections and perform corrections prior to paint application
• Operate and maintain body shop tools and equipment including sanders, grinders, and spray guns
• Keep work area clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards
• Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and high-quality vehicle turnaround

Requirements:

• Prior experience in auto body repair, collision repair, or paint prep preferred
• Familiarity with body shop tools, spray equipment, and surface preparation techniques
• Basic knowledge of paint mixing, blending, and application processes
• Ability to work efficiently in a team-oriented, production-driven environment
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering quality results
• I-CAR or ASE certification is a plus but not required
• Valid driver's license required
