Duties

• Perform comprehensive auto body repairs including dent removal, sheet metal work, and collision damage restoration using specialized tools and fabrication techniques.
• Conduct welding repairs utilizing MIG welding, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to restore vehicle frames and panels with precision.
• Utilize sanding tools, airless paint sprayers, and auto painting techniques to achieve smooth finishes and flawless automotive cosmetic repairs.
• Disassemble and reassemble vehicle parts such as auto glass, bumpers, and other components while ensuring proper installation and alignment.
• Apply auto restoration methods to bring vintage or damaged vehicles back to their original condition with attention to detail.
• Use power tools and hand tools effectively for fabrication repair techniques including working with sheet metal and automotive parts installation.
• Maintain a safe work environment by adhering to safety protocols during heavy lifting, welding operations, and the use of abrasive tools.

Skills

• Proven experience as an automotive body technician with dealership or collision center background preferred.
• Strong knowledge of automotive structural repair, auto body repair, and automotive cosmetic repair processes.
• Skilled in MIG welding, soldering, fabrication repair techniques, and using automotive welding equipment.
• Mechanical knowledge related to vehicle maintenance, auto restoration, and parts installation.
• Proficiency with hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and airless paint spraying equipment.
• Ability to perform detailed auto estimating and auto painting tasks with precision.
• Excellent understanding of automotive parts such as auto glass and sheet metal; capable of heavy lifting when necessary.
