Auto Body Technician

Responsibilities

• Assess vehicle damage thoroughly to determine repair scope and necessary techniques
• Perform auto body repairs using hand tools, power tools, welding, MIG welding, soldering, and auto painting methods
• Fabricate and shape sheet metal components to match original specifications
• Conduct auto glass replacements and repairs with precision, ensuring safety standards are met
• Use auto estimating software to evaluate repair costs accurately and efficiently
• Maintain detailed documentation of repair processes and communicate progress with customers and team members
• Assist with vehicle maintenance tasks such as mechanical repairs, auto restoration projects, and assembly work when needed

Skills

• Proven dealership experience or extensive auto body repair background
• Proficiency in MIG welding, welding, soldering, and fabrication techniques
• Strong mechanical knowledge related to automotive repair and vehicle maintenance
• Skilled in using hand tools, power tools, airless paint spraying equipment, and heavy lifting techniques
• Knowledge of auto painting processes including auto painting and auto restoration projects
• Ability to work with sheet metal, auto glass replacement, and auto estimating software
• Excellent customer service skills with a focus on clear communication and professionalism
• Familiarity with automotive repair standards, auto body repair procedures, and detailing practices
• Experience with auto assembly work and auto painting techniques is highly desirable

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 40.0 per week
