Responsibilities

• Perform automotive structural repairs, including frame straightening and sheet metal work, ensuring vehicles meet safety and quality standards.
• Conduct auto body repairs such as dent removal, panel replacement, and cosmetic refinishing using sanding tools, auto painting, and auto body refinishing techniques.
• Utilize MIG welding, welding repair, soldering, and automotive welding equipment to repair or fabricate vehicle components.
• Install automotive parts including auto glass, bumpers, trim pieces, and other components with precision using hand tools and assembly techniques.
• Apply automotive cosmetic repair methods such as sanding, polishing, and airless paint spraying to restore vehicle appearance.
• Perform vehicle maintenance tasks related to auto restoration projects and ensure all repairs adhere to manufacturer specifications.
• Use automotive estimating tools to assess damage accurately and plan repair procedures efficiently while maintaining safety protocols during heavy lifting and the use of power tools.

Skills

• Proven experience working as an automotive body technician with dealership or independent shop background preferred.
• Strong proficiency in MIG welding, fabrication repair techniques, automotive structural repair, and auto restoration processes.
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems for effective diagnostics and repairs.
• Skilled in the use of hand tools, power tools, sanding equipment, and automotive painting equipment for detailed work.
• Knowledge of automotive parts installation, auto glass replacement, and auto estimating procedures.
• Ability to perform heavy lifting safely while maintaining attention to detail during complex repairs.
• Familiarity with automotive cosmetic repair including sanding tools, airless paint spraying, and finishing techniques.
• Working knowledge of welding repair methods such as soldering and fabrication repair techniques for custom or damaged parts.
• Excellent understanding of automotive parts installation processes and vehicle maintenance standards.
