Auto Body Technician

Job Summary

As an Auto Body Technician, you’ll restore damaged vehicles through careful structural, mechanical, and cosmetic repair. You’ll inspect damage, select the right repair methods and tools, and complete work to support safe, quality vehicle restoration. Dealership experience is welcome, but not required.

Duties

• Assess vehicle damage and support auto estimating by identifying repair needs and parts.
• Perform auto body repair, automotive structural repair, automotive dent repair, sheet metal work, fabrication, and welding repair, including metal inert gas (MIG) welding and soldering.
• Use hand tools, power tools, sanding tools, and automotive welding equipment for repair and fabrication techniques.
• Complete automotive body refinishing, auto painting, airless paint spraying, detailing, assembly, and automotive parts installation; assist with auto glass work as needed.
• Perform vehicle maintenance and related automotive repair. Your impact: Accurate repairs and careful refinishing help customers return to vehicles that are safe, functional, and presentable.

Qualifications

• Experience working as an automotive body technician; auto restoration or mechanic experience is helpful.
• Mechanical knowledge and practical skills in welding, fabrication, automotive cosmetic repair, and refinishing.
• Familiarity with hand and power tools, sanding tools, automotive welding equipment, and automotive parts installation.
• Customer service skills, attention to detail, and ability to follow repair procedures.
• Ability to lift heavy items and safely perform hands-on work in a repair environment.

Pay: $25.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 45.0 per week
