What they need

Shop Foreman – Collision Center

We are looking for an experienced Shop Foreman to help lead daily operations in our collision repair shop. This is a hands-on leadership role for someone who knows cars, understands collision repair estimating, and can keep technicians organized and productive.

The ideal candidate has strong estimating skills, experience with CCC ONE, and the ability to blueprint repairs, assign work, coordinate parts, and help technicians work through repair challenges. We're looking for someone who can work alongside the team, provide direction, and keep repairs moving efficiently from start to finish.

What We're Looking For

We need someone who is strong in estimating and blueprinting first. The right candidate knows cars, can build a solid written repair plan before work is assigned, and can help direct the team when questions or challenges come up. You don't need to be a master diagnostician, but you do need the automotive knowledge and shop experience to recognize issues, guide technicians, coordinate parts, and keep the department moving efficiently.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare Accurate Estimates: Create detailed, written estimates and complete repair blueprints before assigning work to technicians.
  • Use CCC ONE: Utilize CCC ONE for estimating, repair planning, and documentation throughout the repair process.
  • Assign and Manage Work: Distribute repair work based on technician skills, workload, and shop priorities.
  • Guide Technicians: Work directly alongside the team to provide direction, answer questions, and help resolve repair challenges.
  • Evaluate Vehicle Damage: Use automotive knowledge to assess damage, identify repair needs, and help point technicians in the right direction when diagnostic questions arise.
  • Coordinate Parts Ordering: Help identify required parts, communicate with the Parts Department, and ensure parts are ordered accurately and available when needed.
  • Manage Repair Timelines: Monitor workflow and help improve keys-to-keys time by minimizing delays and keeping repairs moving.
  • Communicate Repair Needs: Keep technicians, estimators, parts personnel, and management informed of repair requirements, issues, and progress.
  • Maintain Quality Standards: Ensure repairs are completed safely, accurately, and according to applicable manufacturer procedures and shop standards.
  • Maintain an Organized Shop: Help keep the shop productive, organized, and focused on quality workmanship and efficiency.

Requirements

  • Prior experience in a collision repair shop, preferably in a shop foreman, lead technician, estimator, or similar role.
  • Strong estimating and blueprinting skills are required.
  • Experience using CCC ONE is required.
  • Solid automotive knowledge and the ability to assess vehicle damage and help guide technicians through repair challenges.
  • Ability to assign work, manage workflow, and keep multiple repairs moving at the same time.
  • Understanding of parts ordering, repair planning, and collision shop operations.
  • Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work hands-on with technicians.
  • Organized, detail-oriented, and focused on reducing delays and improving keys-to-keys time.
  • Valid driver's license with an acceptable driving record.
