Job Summary

We are looking for a skilled and experienced Auto Denter to repair and restore damaged vehicle body panels to their original shape and condition. The candidate will be responsible for dent removal, panel repair, alignment, and preparation of vehicles for painting while maintaining high standards of workmanship and safety.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Inspect vehicle bodies to assess dents, scratches, panel damage, and structural damage.
• Repair dents and damaged body panels using appropriate hand tools, power tools, and specialized equipment.
• Remove, straighten, reshape, and replace damaged body panels as required.
• Perform panel beating and bodywork to restore vehicles to their original shape.
• Align doors, bonnets, fenders, bumpers, trunks, and other body components.
• Use dent-pulling equipment, welding equipment, and other body repair tools safely and effectively.
• Carry out cutting, welding, grinding, and panel fabrication when required.
• Remove damaged parts and install replacement panels correctly.
• Ensure proper panel gaps, alignment, and finishing before vehicles are transferred to the paint department.
• Work closely with Auto Painters, Paint Preparation Technicians, and Service Advisors to ensure smooth workflow.
• Follow repair instructions, job cards, and manufacturer specifications where applicable.
• Identify additional body damage and report it to the supervisor or concerned department.
• Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
• Follow workshop safety procedures, PPE requirements, and company policies.
• Complete assigned jobs within the required turnaround time while maintaining quality standards.
• Perform final inspection of repaired areas to ensure workmanship meets company standards.

Qualifications & Experience

• High school diploma or relevant technical/vocational qualification preferred.
• 2–5 years of experience as an Auto Denter / Panel Beater, preferably in an automotive service center or body shop.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle body repair and panel beating techniques.
• Experience with dent removal, panel alignment, welding, cutting, and body restoration.
• Ability to use hand tools, power tools, dent-pulling machines, and welding equipment.
• Good knowledge of different vehicle body structures and materials.
• Ability to read and understand job cards and repair instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Good physical stamina and ability to work in a workshop environment.
