Auto Dismantler/ mechanic

Job Overview
We are seeking a skilled Auto Dismantler/Mechanic to join our team. This role involves disassembling vehicles, diagnosing mechanical issues, and performing repairs to ensure optimal vehicle performance. The ideal candidate will have automotive repair experience,, and possess a strong understanding of automotive electrical systems, powertrain components, and vehicle maintenance. This position offers an opportunity to work with a variety of vehicle makes and models.,

Responsibilities

• Dismantle vehicles efficiently while adhering to safety protocols and environmental standards
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues using automotive diagnostics tools and schematics
• Repair or replace faulty components such as, electrical systems, body parts such as pulling engines and transmissions
• Properly draining of fluids , pulling wheels tires, pulling batteries, radiators etc
• Conduct wheel alignments, vehicle maintenance, and auto body repairs to restore vehicles to optimal condition
• Utilize hand tools, power tools, , and specialized automotive service tools effectively , need to have own tools but not mandatory
• Disassemble vehicles for parts salvage or resale while maintaining organized and CLEAN work space and procedures
• Follow manufacturer specifications and safety guidelines during all repair activities
• Maintain detailed records of repairs performed and parts used for each vehicle

Qualifications

• Proven mechanic experience with a strong background in automotive repair and maintenance
• Skilled in diesel engine repair a plus, powertrain work, alignment procedures a plus, and auto body repair techniques a plus
• Ability to operate hand tools, power tools, welding equipment a plus, and other automotive service devices safely
• Mechanical knowledge of vehicle systems including electrical wiring, engine components, and vehicle maintenance protocols in general knowing where radiator batteries fluids are located and how to disassemble
• Strong attention to detail with the ability to follow technical instructions accurately and work well with others, ability to listen and follow instructions safely and promtly

Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
