Job Title: Auto Electrician

Location: Belton Doncaster Salary: £15.92 - £ 17.00 Hours: Full-time, 39 hours Mon – Thur.

Role Overview

We are looking for a skilled and reliable Auto Electrician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for diagnosing, repairing, installing, and maintaining electrical systems in a wide range of vehicles. This role requires strong technical knowledge, attention to detail, and the ability to work efficiently both independently and as part of a team.

Key Responsibilities

• Diagnose electrical faults using diagnostic equipment and technical manuals
• Install, repair, and maintain electrical wiring, lighting, and electronic systems in vehicles
• Fit and repair vehicle alarms, tracking systems, radios, and additional electrical accessories
• Inspect and test electrical components to ensure proper functioning
• Read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical drawings
• Replace faulty parts such as alternators, starters, batteries, and sensors
• Ensure all work meets safety and quality standards
• Maintain accurate records of work completed and parts used
• Provide technical support and advice to colleagues and customers
• Keep the workshop clean, safe, and compliant with company procedures

Requirements

• Proven experience as an Auto Electrician or similar role
• Strong understanding of vehicle electrical systems and diagnostics
• Ability to read and interpret wiring diagrams and technical documents
• Good problem-solving skills and attention to detail
• Competent with diagnostic tools and electrical testing equipment
• Full UK driving licence preferred
• Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively
• Strong communication and teamwork skills

Desirable Qualifications

• NVQ Level 3 in Auto Electrical or equivalent
• Experience with modern vehicle electronics, CANbus systems, or EV/hybrid technology
• Additional certifications in diagnostics or electrical safety
