Auto Mechanic

The Auto Mechanic is responsible for performing inspection, diagnosis, maintenance, and repair work on vehicles in accordance with company and manufacturer standards, ensuring high-quality workmanship, vehicle safety, and customer satisfaction.

Requirements

• Perform routine, preventive, and corrective maintenance on vehicles
• Diagnose mechanical and electrical faults using appropriate diagnostic tools and equipment
• Repair and replace faulty mechanical components and parts as required
• Perform repairs on engines, braking systems, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and other vehicle components
• Use diagnostic equipment to identify faults and carry out effective repairs
• Follow company policies, manufacturer standards, and technical procedures for all maintenance and repair activities
• Complete assigned work in accordance with repair orders and technical instructions
• Conduct quality checks to ensure all repairs are completed to the required standards before vehicle release
• Maintain tools, equipment, and the workshop in a clean, organized, and safe condition
• Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations and procedures
• Report any additional repair requirements or spare parts needs to the Workshop Supervisor or Manager
• Complete assigned jobs within the required time while meeting productivity and efficiency targets
• Participate in technical training programs and stay updated on new vehicle technologies and repair procedures
• Work effectively as part of the workshop team to achieve operational and customer service objectives

Qualifications and Experience

• Diploma or Technical Certificate in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field
• Previous experience in vehicle maintenance and repair, preferably within an authorized dealership or automotive service center
• Good knowledge of modern vehicle systems and diagnostic equipment
• Ability to read and understand technical manuals, repair orders, and service instructions
• Basic knowledge of automotive electrical and electronic systems
• Valid driving license is preferred
