A bit about us: Our staffing agency is partnering with a manufacturing company seeking a skilled and dependable Automotive Mechanic to join its maintenance team. This individual will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, repairing, and maintaining company vehicles and automotive equipment to ensure safe and reliable operation.

The ideal candidate has hands-on mechanical experience, strong troubleshooting skills, and the ability to perform preventative maintenance and repairs while maintaining a safe and organized work environment.

Are you passionate about engines and motors? Do you have a knack for mechanical maintenance and repair? Do you enjoy solving complex mechanical problems? If so, we have an exciting opportunity for you. We are looking for a seasoned Auto-Mechanic who is ready to apply their skills in the fast-paced construction industry. This is a permanent position where your expertise will be highly valued and your contributions will have a significant impact.

Responsibilities:

As an Auto-Mechanic, you will be responsible for:

1. Performing routine maintenance and general mechanic work on construction vehicles and equipment.

2. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical issues with engines, motors, and other key vehicle components.

3. Conducting thorough inspections of vehicles and equipment to identify faulty components or systems and implement effective solutions.

4. Troubleshooting electrical issues using appropriate testing devices.

5. Repairing and replacing broken or dysfunctional parts and fix issues (e.g. leaks).

6. Providing accurate estimates (cost, time, effort) for a repair or maintenance job.

7. Collaborating with team members to ensure the smooth operation of construction projects.

8. Keeping logs on work and issues, and maintaining equipment and tools in good condition.

Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you will need:

1. A minimum of 5 years of experience as an Auto-Mechanic, preferably within the construction industry.

2. In-depth knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems of vehicles and construction equipment.

3. Proficiency in using various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift).

4. Excellent knowledge of mechanical, electrical and electronic components of vehicles.

5. Ability to handle various tools (e.g. pliers) and heavy equipment (e.g. lift).

6. Ability to work under pressure and within tight deadlines.

7. Excellent physical condition and flexibility to work long shifts and overnight.

8. A valid license to practice profession or relevant certification (e.g. ASE) is preferred.
