AUTO SERVICE ADVISOR

Job Summary

We are seeking a knowledgeable and customer-focused Auto Service Advisor to serve as the link between customers and the workshop team. The successful candidate will receive customers, understand their vehicle concerns, recommend appropriate services, prepare quotations, coordinate repair activities, and ensure customers receive excellent service.

Job Description

• Receive customers and document their vehicle complaints and service needs.
• Inspect vehicles with technicians to identify required repairs and maintenance.
• Explain vehicle problems, recommended repairs, and service procedures to customers.
• Prepare accurate repair estimates and quotations.
• Obtain customer approval before repairs or additional work is carried out.
• Coordinate with mechanics and technicians to ensure jobs are properly scheduled and completed.
• Monitor the progress of repairs and keep customers informed of updates.
• Ensure vehicles are serviced and repaired according to required standards.
• Review completed work and confirm that all requested services have been carried out.
• Prepare and explain service invoices to customers.
• Handle customer questions, complaints, and service concerns professionally.
• Maintain accurate records of customer information, vehicle history, repairs, and services.
• Follow up with customers after servicing to ensure satisfaction and encourage repeat business.
• Promote relevant maintenance services, parts, and additional automotive products.
• Maintain strong relationships with customers and support customer retention.
• Ensure proper handling and documentation of customer vehicles while in the workshop.

Requirements & Skills

• Proven experience as an Auto Service Advisor, Service Consultant, Automotive Customer Service Officer, or similar role.
• Good knowledge of vehicle maintenance, mechanical systems, and basic auto electrical systems.
• Excellent customer service and communication skills.
• Ability to explain technical vehicle issues in simple terms.
• Strong sales, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
• Good organizational and time-management abilities.
• Ability to prepare quotations, estimates, and service reports.
• Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
• Computer literacy and ability to maintain digital records.
• Ability to work effectively with mechanics, technicians, and management.
• Previous experience in an automobile workshop or dealership is an advantage.
• A technical qualification in Automobile Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field is an added advantage.

Pay: ₦135,000.00 - ₦250,000.00 per month
