Auto Service Representative

Job Overview

We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Auto Service Representative to join our automotive team! In this energetic role, you will be the vital link between our service department and valued customers, ensuring a seamless experience from vehicle check-in to vehicle pick-up. Your automotive knowledge, exceptional communication skills, and enthusiasm for service will drive customer satisfaction and foster long-term loyalty. What you’ll do

• Be the main contact for every client. Talk through their project, answer questions and send progress updates at least once a week.
• Work with our Office Manager to schedule appointments and keep the calendar on track.
• Check in vehicles when they arrive and take intake photos: exterior, interior, mileage and existing damage.
• Write job cards and get them to the technician before work starts.
• Order all parts through purchase orders, keep spending within the quoted amount and track deliveries.
• Send quotes and change orders to clients and record their approvals.
• After the technician’s final check, do a full walk-around of the vehicle before delivery.
• Walk clients through their finished vehicle at pickup.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a service technician or in automotive repair with dealership or collision repair background preferred
• Strong mechanical knowledge across various systems including transmissions, brakes, suspension, shocks & struts, and oil changes
• Familiarity with estimating software and auto service management systems is highly desirable
• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients
• Ability to perform automotive diagnostics accurately and efficiently using diagnostic tools and equipment
• Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record; willingness to drive company vehicles as needed
• Prior experience in auto estimating, service writing, or sales is a plus but not required
