Qualified Automotive Technician / Mechanic

Are you an experienced and qualified mechanic looking for your next opportunity? We are a busy, family-owned automotive workshop in Silverdale and are looking for a motivated, reliable, and skilled technician to join our friendly team.

About the Role

We service and repair a wide range of vehicles, working on all makes and models. Your day-to-day duties will include:

• Vehicle servicing and maintenance
• Diagnostics and fault finding
• General mechanical repairs
• Cam-belt replacements
• Brake and clutch repairs
• Suspension and steering repairs
• Tyre fitting and repairs
• Other general automotive repair work

What We're Looking For

The successful applicant will have:

• A minimum of 3 years' experience as a mechanic or an automotive qualification
• Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
• Experience working on a variety of vehicle makes and models
• Good computer skills
• Excellent time management and organizational skills
• A positive attitude and strong work ethic
• The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines
• Pride in keeping a clean and tidy workspace
• A willingness to help the team wherever needed
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• An interest in new technology and a willingness to attend ongoing training, including electric vehicle training

A current Warrant of Fitness (WoF) Inspector License would be an advantage, but we are happy to support the right applicant in obtaining their WoF certification.

• Have the legal right to work in New Zealand
• Be a New Zealand Citizen or Resident
• Hold a current NZ full driver's licence
